IHSDTA Coach of the Year Award

One of the purposes of the IHSDTA is to recognize, honor, and award people in our profession who have excelled in their respective dance team leadership position.

To be considered for an award, nominees must be a member of the IHSDTA and have worked in the profession for at least five years. Nominators do not have to be IHSDTA members (for example, a dancer can nominate his/her coach).

The Coaches of the Year will receive a contemporary art design award presented at the annual conference. The IHSDTA will also feature their accomplishments on the website and in social media postings.

Nominations are due each year by December 31.  Nominees will be notified by February 1 that they are on the ballot for selection by the IHSDTA General Membership.  Voting will take place online the last two weeks of January (only current IHSDTA member coaches will vote).  All nominees will be introduced at the annual IHSDTA State Championship, and the winner will be announced live on stage.
